James Killick is a Product Coachsultant, blending coaching and consulting to help clients succeed in the world of product. This approach means he jumps in to build strategies and automations to get the ball rolling, but long-term, he teaches clients how to achieve lasting success. This method helps clients achieve initial quick wins while ensuring sustainability and growth.
James launched his first FinTech platform in his 20s—a money remittances service that sold for close to $1 million. This success ignited his passion for product development. He went on to co-found Devwiz, where he and his team have helped create many mobile apps, web applications, and even blockchain dApps over the years. Initially, James served as the product lead, project manager, and designer, but more recently, he has transitioned to focus on his consulting business, providing product consulting to Devwiz and its clients only when needed.
In 2019, James discovered Wes Bush's book on Product Led Growth and fell in love with the concept, making it a core part of his approach. He immersed himself in the principles of Product Led Growth, which emphasize delivering value before capturing it and using the product itself as the primary driver of customer acquisition, retention, and expansion. This approach has transformed how he guides clients in developing and scaling their products.
James is also passionate about blockchain technology. In 2021, he dove into the NFT space, exploring the potential of non-fungible tokens to revolutionize digital ownership and commerce. Since then, he has been involved in building several DeFi (decentralized finance) and GameFi (gaming finance) platforms, leveraging blockchain to create innovative financial solutions and gaming experiences.
James has been into AI since 2020, when he helped to launch an automated outreach platform that used Google Natural Language and Make.com in the backend. Nowadays, he uses tools like ChatGPT and Make.com to build no-code automations.
On a personal note, James is deeply committed to advancing tech for the disability sector, inspired by his son Theo, who has PTLS and Autism. Recently, James has launched a healthcare app and worked on a training platform within the sector, driven by a desire to leverage technology to build
